It's been a bit of a puzzle to me, in the four and a half years since I've been CEO of Shine, why people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus have such a fight to be recognised and supported.
It's not just a UK issue. It seems, from my involvement on the Board of the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, that it's a global issue too.
