New DisabledGo App is launched

disabledgo

A new mobile phone App that gives the locations and the details of locations in Harrow that are accessible for disabled residents and visitors is now free to download.

The new App allows residents to see at the click of a button which venues and facilities are easily accessible for people with disabilities making Harrow even easier to navigate. The App features local attractions such as cinemas, hotels, sports grounds, restaurants and council offices as well as parks and historic land marks.

DisabledGo has designed the App for anyone who wants to find out more about access whether they are a visitor or a Londoner. The App is unique, only featuring venues that have been fully assessed by a trained access surveyor.

You can download the App, ‘My DisabledGo London’, which has been developed by DisabledGo and is free to use and features over 1,000 venues in Harrow and over 20,000 across London.

The Council has also recently renewed its contract with DisabledGo for a further three years to ensure our residents, services users and visitors to the Borough are able to utilise Harrow’s Access Guide to help them enjoy their time in the Borough. The Access Guide is developed in partnership with DisabledGo and features more than 1,000 venues including hotels, cinemas, restaurants, solicitors offices, pubs and train stations to name a few. The aim is to use access information to empower people to break down the barriers to full inclusion within the community.

You can access Harrow’s DisabledGo Access Guide and download the App from www.harrow.gov.uk/disabledgo
